Our Story
We produce heirloom-quality furniture that demands timeless design and communicates a classic sense of style. Exceptional hardwoods such as maple, cherry, curly maple, oak, mahogany, and black walnut are used. Each piece is hand finished to ensure a smooth polished surface. The chosen finishes compliment the strength of the wood and the decor where the furniture will be placed. When constructing a piece we use classic techniques (mortise and tenon joints, dovetailing and hand sanding) that are also pleasing to the eye. These techniques ensure long lasting strength of quality furniture customers expect.
Our goal is that you love our furniture as much as we do.
Our Vision
Because our pledge is to be made in America, the woods we use to construct our collections are harvested from American forests. The majority of the wood K&M Hardwoods uses is from the Northern Appalachian Mountains and is sustainably harvested. In addition, whenever possible, we use American made goods throughout the process. We also take great pride in the finishing elements we use, including wood stains, knobs and pulls, protective varnishes etc., all sourced from producers located in the United States.
Our Principles
Quality: After the wood is cut and milled, the lumber is shipped directly to the K&M Hardwoods workshop. Upon receipt, each piece is inspected to ensure that only the highest quality lumber is used. The lumber that passes the first inspection is milled a second time by the K&M Hardwoods production staff and each piece is inspected a second time. Only after the lumber passes both inspections is it truly considered ready for K&M Hardwoods. At the workshop, each piece of furniture is cut and assembled by K&M Hardwoods staff.
